Hi Sven. You are saying that all communication is going through RFC connection. You haven’t mentioned XI/PI (or what the name is nowadays :-) – isn’t it a requirement to have that as well ?

nope – for a change SAP doesn’t force an extra step onto customers. No middleware needed. They say you could use one, if you wanted to, but it’s not necessary or preferred. It would just make it more complicated, but should be possible, if your architechture somehow requires that.
(the last name I’ve heard for it after „PI“ is „PO“ for „Process Orchestration“)
